Loving Mommy-hood

Motherhood is fabulous! Breastfeeding is going great. My weight is all off (I'm actually weighing less now that I was before I got pregnant), and my baby is an angel who sleeps 4 to 5 hours at a time, all the time. It's wonderful. If I had known all of this before, I would have gotten pregnant a lot sooner! (smiles)

I haven't had much time to write anything lately because my father was up visiting from Canada and I was spending time with him rather than on the computer. He just left this morning (I cried a ton when I dropped him off at the aiport, thanks to pregnancy hormones, and a new appreciation for parenting), so now I have no excuse not to update my blog more often.

But, just a quick note now, and more to come asap. I'll be blogging about the importance of post-partum recovery (briefly, I tried to be too active too soon and paid for it dearly), then, I will post what I ate during my pregnancy since I've had a lot of women ask - you'll see it wasn't anything fancy or strict, just common sense and good nutrition guidelines; supplements were key too.

Thanks for following along! Can't wait to share more with you all.

I can't believe you've lost all your baby weight already! You do look fantastic...motherhood suits you =o) I just found out I'm pg with my first last week (yippee) and I'd like to stay fit and healthy during the next 8 or so months. I'm so glad to have your blog as a resource. Thank you for that!

Cool, I'll be waiting to hear. Don't worry about the gaps. Everyone knows you are busy.

Glad everything is going well. The fact that you have a baby that sleeps well is excellent but the next will not necessarily be the same. They're all different. My first was a terrible sleeper but the second was fantastic.

Cassandra,

I am inspired by your story. I have always been a fitness fanatic, but have had a difficult time pairing training with motherhood the last two years since I became a mom (no time to myself). I am very interested to hear how things go for you and hopefully glean some tips! Congrats on baby April and keep up the good self care!

Glad to hear everything is going so well for you!! Just awesome :) My baby girl is getting stronger and stronger everyday but am still waiting for her to do some 4 or 5 hour sleeps during the night. Eva will be 8 weeks this Thursday and I have only just started to feel like I can do more than walking so I have joined up at the gym again and look forward to doing some light lifting until 12 weeks has passed. April is sooo cute!! Enjoy Nicole xx
