Ok, if you know me, you know that I like to keep active. Recently, I found this bootcamp, and now, I’m completely addicted! I’ve literally been going 3 times a week for 2 months now and not one single time have I done the same workout! In fact, even when we do an exercise we have done before, there is usually a spin on it to make it slightly different! Also, unlike other classes that I’ve done in college or other gyms I’ve belonged to, the structure to this class is phenomenal! Have you ever been to a class where the instructor says “ok, almost done 30 more seconds!” but what they mean is 2+ minutes? This is not like that AT ALL!! Everything is regimented by a recording which allows Cassandra Forsythe, the instructor/owner, to walk around and critique you, and even do the work out with you. I mean, really, what’s the point of doing the exercise if you’re doing it wrong? Then you are just wasting your time. Cass’s energy and positive attitude is amazing, and it doesn’t end with the class! You can tell that she is really passionate about what she does and she takes time to send us (her campers) emails, usually on a daily basis, which give us diet tips, shopping tips, active events in the area, stretching tips etc. Basically, you pay for the bootcamp sessions, but you receive SO much more! I started here in July of 2011 about 2 months before my wedding! It was the best thing I could have found. I have a crazy schedule and this has helped me feel excellent and strong again! I have been going to Fitness Revolution since March of 2011. I started going once a week and have now worked my way up to going 3 or 4 times a week! That's how much I love it! I always feel so strong after leaving a class that I feel like I can do anything. I struggle with my weight a lot and have tried other workout plans that I never stick to. I just wanted to say thanks, Cassandra, for the cooking class today with the Personal Chef. It was awesome! I cook most of our meals from scratch and have been told by other people that I'm a decent cook but my meals aren't necessarily healthy. I didn't realize how intimidated I was to cook with different vegetables until I took the class. I usually will serve a salad and the old standbys cut up cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes (which I fake eat). This class was a real door-opener both to broaden my palette as well as my family's. When I signed up for Fitness Revoluton I thought I was signing up for kick your butt exercises, but you have gone so far past my expectations that I feel like I won the lottery finding you (which in a sense I did. FITNESS REVOLUTION BOOTCAMP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many times a week do I have to come to lose this body fat that I've been carrying around for years?
Ideally, 3 times per week will help you lose unsightly body fat. But, you have to be consistent with your attendance and really work hard when you're in class. Also, since you will be provided with healthy nutrition plans, you have to make a promise to chance any bad habits that stop the body fat from being burned off.
I don't want to bulk-up or get too "muscle-ly", will this class do that to me?
The training in these classes is a mix of both interval cardio and higher repetition strength exercises. To prevent "bulk" you have to both eat plenty of calories and lift very heavy weights several times. Since the repetitions in these are more to build endurance and strengthen your heart, they will instead help you lose fat rather than make you bigger (Remember, eating well is important. Frequent trips to the Cheesecake Factory will not help your goals).
How much do these classes cost?
Depending on the package you sign up for, classes run from $7 to $12 each. If you just decide to drop-in to class from time to time, the price is $15. Discounts of 20% off are available for students.
